The Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, through the Secretariat Timor-Leste Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative (EITI) together with the Multi Stakeholder workshop related to the dissemination of the 2022 TL-EITI Report in Regiaun Administrativa Especiál Oe-cusse Ambeno (RAEOA) Pante Macassar, Suku Costa, (Salaun Bintang Lima) on Friday (June 20, 2025). This dissemination is part of the Ministry’s program and EITI requirement 7.1 to ensure that everyone has access to information and hold discussions on how the government is managing natural resources with transparency and accountability in accordance with the international EITI mechanism. this dissemination activities published in local media (Tatoli, STL Live, STL news)
The Government of Timor-Leste have striven to ensure this dissemination will continue throughout the Municipality. In order to respond to the recommendations received during the validation in 2022 particularly related to requirement 7.1
This is the ninth (9th) TL-EITI Report produced by the Independent Administrator (IA), Ernst & Young Audit & Associates – SROC, this report produce in align with the EITI Standard 2023, total revenue received by the government increased to $ 1.401 as compared to the year 2021. There are thirty one (31) operators (including subsidiaries) and sixteen (16) subcontractors.
This report contains additional new information from the 2023 EITI Standard such as data on Anti-Corruption, Climate Change, Energy Transition, and Beneficial Ownership Transparency for contractors (2021 and 2022).
